Hidden away among rolling hills is Loweswater one of the smaller lakes in the Lake District.  Take one of the countless stunning woodland paths in nearby Holme wood to discover a waterfall.  Red squirrels and deer can also be spotted.  Rowing boats can be hired to enjoy the tranquillity of the lake.

Enjoy the glory of lakeshore walks through wooded areas of outstanding natural scenery. Or tackle more challenging walks on high fell ridges which are easily accessed from the apartment.

The nearby Georgian market town of Cockermouth, recently received the “Cittaslow” award in recognition of its good quality of life at a relaxed pace.
